  • CHIDIMA UBAH

From a young age, Chidima has been using her gift of music to touch those around her. After her first solo performance at the age of 9, she realized that God had given her a voice, and she began pursuing a career in music. Chidima sang in church throughout her teenage years, and while she loved leading worship, she only saw it as something to do on the side. However, that changed her freshman year of college when she attended a gathering for college students. It was there she felt a shifting in her heart, as her dreams began to align with God's heart for her and His plan for her gifting. She knew He was calling her to a life of worship through song. By her sophomore year, she was serving on the worship team at a church in College Station, Texas while she attended Texas A&M University. 5 years later at age 27, she now resides in Atlanta, GA where she is on the worship team at Passion City Church and is also a songwriter. In her heart is an ever-growing desire to touch the heart of God, and a deep love for helping lead others into the throne room of the Almighty.

  • THRIVE WORSHIP

    EC22 WORKSHOP

Thrive Worship and its founding leaders – Corbin Phillips, along with Peter Burton and Charmaine Wells – is the global worship team of Bayside Church, a multisite movement based in northern California. Being part of the current fastest-growing church in the country, Thrive Worship is a group of diverse singers and musicians across seven campuses, expanding their creative reach while keeping the same core passion and message. Working as a worship family, they express the following approach – “a church for people who don’t like church” – with songs that are focused on unwrapping the gospel to everyone.

After signing with Integrity Music in 2018 and releasing their debut album, “A Thousand More,” and the new EP “Let's Have Church,” Thrive Worship “continues to pursue its call to equip the church with truth and faith, offering songs of hope for the future and love for our Savior.”

Phillips says, "Thrive Worship is just an extension of what's happening in our walls. We know when we're writing songs from the heartbeat of testimonies within our church, of our own testimonies, or what we've seen God do in our services."

He continues, "As we entered into this project, we were pulling from (about) 60 songs. We felt like God was pouring out on us but, at the end of the day, I think this idea of what God said in Acts 2, that in the last days that he would pour his spirit out on the church, we're seeing God's spirit in our lives. We're seeing God's spirit being poured out on our church right now in a way that I've personally never seen in the 20-odd years I've been coming to this church. We, as Thrive Worship and as songwriters, have a responsibility right now to equip the church with truth and with the gospel and with the mechanisms to share and to grow that faith."

  • AVALON WORSHIP

GRAMMY nominated pop vocal group Avalon has long been admired for show-stopping, mega-hits like “Testify To Love,” “Can’t Live A Day,” and “Adonai.” While these iconic songs have shaped their legacy, and remain close to their hearts, the members of Avalon – Janna Long, Greg Long, Jody McBrayer and Dani Rocca-Herbert - are ready to explore a new musical direction. Now going by the name Avalon Worship, the group has recorded a self-titled worship album that reflects who they are as individuals as well as a collective.

“For the past eleven years Greg and I have been staff worship leaders at a local church north of Houston,” Janna says. “Jody’s also a staff worship leader at a church in Ohio. Dani became a worship leader right out of high school. Leading worship has been a natural progression in our personal lives, so it made sense to extend that into our recording world.” “We’re all personally in a place where we need the connection only genuine worship can bring,” Jody adds. “There’s real healing and safety in the presence of God. These songs are where we are as adults and as Christians and believers.”

  • JON REDDICK

    EC22 WORKSHOP

Growing up the son of a pastor and the church pianist in Memphis, TN, and brother to six siblings including Janice, who went on to become a Stellar Award and GMA Dove Award nominated recording artist for Motown Gospel, music was woven into Reddick’s DNA from the start. Eventually, Reddick and his family made their way to Nashville, where God kept putting unlikely people in his path. He has the opportunity to work on songwriting with artists like Matt Redman, Tommy Sims, Josh Kerr and Sheryl Crow. He is also one of the worship leaders at Church of the City working alongside Chris McClarney and led by pastor Darren Whitehead.

In addition to being a talented musician, Reddick is also a creative visual artist. In a fusion of his artistic and musical sides he has painted the artwork for each of his music releases. "For me, art is a way for me to get my words out. It gives voice to what I’m feeling, allows me to say something in my own way. It’s okay to let people interpret it how they interpret it, because it’s something bigger. I just want to be a conduit to help people reconcile themselves with God and each other,” Reddick says. “I want to bring people together. I consider it an honor and a privilege to get to lead people in the transparency of worship.”

Recently, his highly recognized congregational worship song, “God, Turn It Around” charted on both the Mediabase and Billboard chart spending 5 weeks in the Top 5.

In 2020 Mandisa recorded and released a version of his song "You Keep Hope Alive" which became a Top 15 Billboard Christian Airplay and AC radio single and Top 50 single of the year.

  • DOE

All it takes is one listen to know there’s something uniquely special about DOE. Between the purity of her vocals, intuitive lyrics and soul-captivating sound, the three-time GRAMMY® nominated singer-songwriter-musician — born Dominique Jones — is poised to usher in a new era of gospel/inspirational music that transcends traditional perceptions.

Music fans first heard DOE’s multifaceted talent in October 2020 with the release of her self-titled EP, which features the #1 hit Gospel radio single “Brighter.” Her EP was released through gospel star Jonathan McReynolds’ Life Room Label in partnership with RCA Inspiration, and DOE is ready to welcome everyone into her fearless world with Clarity, her debut full-length album due February 18th, 2022, which comprises 11 tracks including “Clarity” and “When I Pray.”

DOE says of the album’s title track, “In listening to that song, I came to the understanding that it sums up the message of the entire album. Clarity is the point where I am in my life. I feel like I’m coming to a beautiful understanding of who I am and what my role is as a child of God.” As she sings on the mid-tempo track, “I feel a freedom in this melody …let them see you wear your crown … be you, be you.”

The empowering honesty imparted in “Clarity” is the unapologetic through line DOE weaves within each song as she shares her own relatable joys and vulnerabilities while claiming hope and perseverance in a world still being rocked by the pandemic, racial unrest and other social issues. The other through line tying everything together: DOE’s ethereal vocals, which float and soar as they carry the listener along on a resonating journey.

DOE, also an accomplished guitarist, wrote all of Clarity’s 11 songs and also co-produced on some of the album. Raised in a musical family, DOE began performing professionally as a teen in the Christian gospel septet forever JONES, which featured DOE with her parents, her two sisters and two brothers. The group released three albums, and garnered two GRAMMYⓇ Award nominations and multiple Stellar and Dove Award nominations.

Pursuing her passion to sing and write in her solo career, DOE was featured on Jonathan McReynolds’ single “Cycles” from his Make Room album. The collaboration resulted in DOE’s third GRAMMYⓇ nod when “Cycles” was nominated for Best Gospel Performance/Song. Impressed by her singing/songwriting skills, McReynolds signed DOE to his Life Room Label. Over the course of experimenting beyond her prayer music roots, DOE has crafted a unique sound that defies strict definition. Other standouts on Clarity include the joyous “So Good,” the salvation-themed ballad “What I’m Waiting For,” “Mercy,” as well as the five tracks from DOE’s 2020 EP. One main takeaway that DOE wants listeners to embrace on the soulful Clarity is, “The more of themselves that they’re willing to accept and not reject because it’s different from what others think, the more powerful their partnership with God and faith. That’s the freedom I want listeners to walk away with.”
